My sister Ellen

My sister Ellen. 1987. Yes! A real person! I drew this as part of my portfolio for my O-level art exam. I needed a few pictures to prove that I could draw accurately from life, as well as imagining weird things. She would have been 13 or 14 at the time. She's updated her wardrobe a bit since then, and her face isn't as chubby as I've drawn it here (I don't think it ever was, actually), but she still has the same hairstyle. The thing on her lap is a portable radio. She was, and still is, a keen fan of BBC Radio 1. I try not to hold that against her... The original is A4 landscape (about 11.5" by 8"), in rollerball pen and coloured pencils.
