Merintor. 1989. Merintor is a wizard who will eventually appear in The Price of Hope. (See Fiction page.) The original is A3 (about 16.5" by 11.5"), in coloured pencils and artists' inks. The lettering at the top right is similar to the Elven writing in J R R Tolkien's books, but the language and the alphabet are different. It does mean something (the first word is probably "Merintor"), but I no longer have the slightest idea what.
