3-Lib General knowhow and reviews of video capturing and DVD authoring hardware and software.
AKM Music

They sell CDs of music suitable for video soundtracks, in a wide range of styles. You pay a one-off fee to buy the CD, and can then use the music as much as you like in your own videos without any further payments. The site has RealAudio samples of their current catalogue.

(I should disclose that they visited us in 2001, 2004 and 2006, and that several of our members bought CDs. As far as I can tell, most of us are happy with our purchases. I regularly hear their music on videos that our members make.)

Arrow Marketing Camcorder Batteries They sell batteries and accessories for a wide range of camcorders and digital still cameras.
Borehamwood and Elstree Times Our local newspaper. If it happens in the borough, it'll be in here. If we pester them enough, occasionally they'll write something about us. You can find articles about us by clicking their "Archive" link and searching for "Borehamwood Camcorder Club" (with the quotes). It does seem, though, that not every article that's appeared in the printed version of the newspaper is in the archives.
camera-battery.net Cheap, high quality replacement batteries with chargers for digital camera and camcorders.
cine2video A cine transfer service for all cine formats onto video and DVD.
Cine Is Alive And Well Where to find cine supplies and services.
DVworkshop DVworkshop is an independent website for FREE 'how to' help, advice and information relating to digital video, audio, DVD and computers.
Dynamic DVD VHS tape to DVD from £25.
GTH Electronics They sell boxes for cleaning up video signals in several ways, such as colour correction, timebase correction, improving sharpness and removing colour bleed. The top-of-the-range model also converts between the various video standards.
Keene Electronics

This company sells every accessory you can imagine for camcorders and film-making, from blank tapes and batteries to microphones, lights and mixers. About the only things they don't sell are the actual camcorders.

They also have a directory of UK camcorder clubs, so if we're too far away from you, you may well find a closer one here. The site makes heavy use of frames, so I can't give an exact URL. However, click the "Assistance" link on their front page, and you'll see a link to the directory at the bottom right of the page that appears.

Morris Camera and Camcorder Repair Services They do what their name says ;-) They're based in Hitchin, Herts.
ontodvd A video transfer site dedicated to the budget £10 market; that is, any video onto DVD for just £10. Part of the same group as cine2video, above.
What Camcorder Magazine A monthly magazine with reviews of all the latest video-making gear and features about how to use it. They also have a comprehensive list of contact details for clubs like us and news of what the clubs have been doing.
